Creality CR10 – Insulating the Heated Bed!

As in this episode, we will be insulating the bed of the Creality CR-10 with the hermo-Tec 13575 Adhesive Backed Heat Barrier (amzn.to/2tpZZd9). This stuff come in 12″ x 24″ self adhesive sheet for about 17 bucks. Now a bit of spoiler here, I would suggest doubling up the sheet for best performance, in other words. Cut in half (i.e. two 12″ x 12″ squares) then apply one as in the video and then a second over top of that one for improved performance.

Creality CR10 – Measuring PEI Heat Transfer With Flir Camera!

Creality CR10 – 3D Printed Dial Indicator Mount for Bed Leveling!

As in this episode, we will be looking at dial indicator mount which we designed for the Creality CR-10 mega 3D Printer (if you want one click here: goo.gl/FthFpE) which uses economical dial indicators to assist you in leveling / tramming the large bed of this beast!

This is a Dial Indicator Mount for the Creality CR-10 (click here: goo.gl/FthFpE) uses economical dial indicators such as this one amzn.to/2ttaAGr for less than $15 bucks or a digital version such as this amzn.to/2ttaIWr for only $25 bucks.

Also you can use a metal 1/4-20 (~6mm) sized nut and bolt combo however I like using nylon nuts/bolts such as this amzn.to/2saaeRh just to lighten things. I have designed two Gcode files to be used running the dial across the Creality CR-10 bed and they can be found here: ift.tt/2sawKtj

Creality CR10 – Analyzing the Heated with the Flir!

As in this episode, we will be taking a look at the heated bead on the Creality CR-10 3D printer at the request of a viewer as he had a rather good idea! As the CR-10 has a large bed, how does it perform heat wise, is it heating evenly, does it match the temperature it says? Also how hot will it get? These and more questions we will set out to answer using the Flir thermal camera. Also worth note is it is real time from start to 71 deg/C so you get an idea just how long this guy takes to heat up!
