Please visit www.DIY3DTech.com for more information on this and many other projects! As in this episode we will be looking at how do the fix what we posted about the other day on the Wanhao to correct (or at least improve) the fluctuating HotEnd temps. This orignaly started with a video from Menolo Chen (www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ak9kyObHr0Y) regarding an issue with the control board of the Wanhao Duplicator I3 3D Printer causing the hotend to fluctuate in temp. For me it was about 230c that I was the issue and it would jump around 20deg. The video says it fixes the problem however at doing the fix it only (if believe the LSD screen) greatly improves the issue as now stays around 5deg average verses 20deg so it was worth but I would call this an intermediate level fix.
Also we will show you how to open the controller case as its rather strange and I have not seen anything on the internet that shows this. So here is an extra bonus! Also all of this is at your risk and be sure to unplug the unit before doing anything like this!
